AWOOO!!! By far one of the best episodes! Watching this just a couple of days away from Halloween made my day/night! RIP Micheal; you were one of the greatest. As were you, Victor.
oh not to mention he was on Donny and Marie in the '70s or Captain and tennille and Tony Orlando and Dawn he was on one or two of those shows Michael Landon
Landons humor is great. He was in a movie in his younger days called " I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF" it was actually his debut that srarted his acting career. His birthday was Oct 31. No wonder he enjoyed Halloween. Lol
That's a #1 search I do with every show I like, Halloween episodes, I like some Christmas episodes too, shows like King of Queens, Family Guy, Supernatural, etc...
I like to imagine that the series finale would have been about Johnathan being finished with his assignment and getting promoted thus having to go to heaven and Mark dying then being made a probationary angel himself. The final scene would be of Johnathan smiling at Mark and saying don't worry I'll always be with you you may not always be able to see me but you'll be able to hear my voice directing you and guiding you. If you ever get lonely I'll come back down and be with you my friend .
I had a similar idea. Mark dies from an illness we the audience are not told (French Passed away from Lung Cancer for anyone who doesn't know). Johnathan is walking on the side of the road and Mark's car pulls up. Of course it's Mark with a different face. An angel in training who explains to Johnathan that the Boss didn't want to break up the team.
6:45 Mark is watching 'I am a Teenage Werewolf' which stars non other than Micheal Landon! That's why Mark says Johnan reminds him of the main character in the film.
When I was a kid, somebody told me that Michael Landon wanted to burn all the copies of that movie. Based on the fact that he wrote and directed this episode, I don't think he felt quite as strongly as that person thought.
Omg lol this episode is hysterical! Lol😂👹 I jumped and laughed my ass off when Johnathan jumped out of the fridge lol and Mark was so scared lol😂 I so love this show!! Thanks for sharing all these amaZin episodes! NiCe to have a good laugh after balling my eyes out at so many other episodes lol
A deadly combination between Michael Jackson's "Trailer" and Freddy Krueger from "A Nightmare on Elm Street". Only Michael Landon can make such a successful combination!
I always wondered if the last scene was another dream, or Jonathan just using "the stuff" to mess with Mark. My favorite HTH episode. Netflix has the whole series now! Was binge watching over the weekend. I always dreamed of a series finale where Mark dies and Jonathan spreads wings and flies them both to Heaven. That would have been epic. They co-directed as well. RIP Victor and Michael. Class acts. My other fave is the one where Mark accidentally sells his soul to Satan. LOL! He was always getting himself into something.
Sadly during the 5 season, they made only 9 episodes, 13 all together. The last 4 episode were edited from other seasons with Victor French as Mark. Victor died from lung cancer, if you seen the 9th episode you'll notice Victor was much thinner. Victor died on June 15, 1989. Michael Landon died 2 years later from progressive pancreatic cancer which he learned only three months before he passed away. RIP to both great actors.
@@jimk.7663 I never knew that, and I guess that's why the show came to an end as I don't think Michael wanted to do another episode without Victor nor accept the idea to have a new character with him. THat's true friendship right there. Such a shame cancer took them both away.
I always envisioned Mark dying, a funeral attended by a grieving Johnathan, then cut to Johnathan walking alone on a highway when a familiar car pulls up. Turns out the Boss didn't want to break up the team.

Another episode of highway to heaven that I love the most. Was when Jonathan and Mark became police officers. Mark says to Jonathan that was cute where did you get your guy. D. Jonathan said same place you got yours. Mark said why would he give us an assignment like this one. Jonathan said because you asked him for it. Mark says I did not ask him for it.
